June 7th marked the first day that Risa truely got her hustle on lol...
Today was the first time Risa painted portraits of people in public on a mass scale at the West Alis Ala Carte Festival. It really was an amazing experience to share with her because we at 9 am that morning were in every since of the word unprepared, but it all worked out in the end. We did not have a tent, a way to transport or hang Risa's work, and on top of all that the weather forecast predicted torrents of rain fall and wind all day. So needless to say, we did not expect the best. But with a little encouragement we set out and God decided to help out by sending Alex up from Chicago to drive us in her truck, Linda who came through and supplied us a tent, and He even changed the weather to a beautiful sunshiny day for us.
